The value of empathy in editing
Let me share with you what editing can be with empathy. We write to communicate, even if we are only communicating to ourselves. At the heart of communication is understanding. And understanding, well, that comes from empathy.

Since 2015, I’ve written, edited and typeset a range of projects including memoirs, textbooks, fiction and nonfiction trade books, education curriculums, essays, government and business reports, worksheets, magazine articles, digital content, speeches and more.
Along with experience working with small and large publishers, I am qualified with a Postgraduate Certificate in Writing, Editing and Publishing and a Bachelor of Creative Industries (Creative and Professional Writing) with Distinction.

Why you can trust my empathy
My experiences have cultivated a high level of empathy. Raised in a mixed-race household, I experienced colliding and mixing cultures from a very young age.
Decades of learning about my own anxiety and being a carer for a person with severe mental illness has given me a great appreciation of varying mental and emotional states and has opened doors to friendships and alliances with many different people.
